Game Rearing Site Manager
We are currently seeking an exceptional person/couple to manage a satellite pheasant rearing unit based near Warwick in the ‘Heart of England’. Starting ideally in late 2017, to allow the successful candidate(s) the time and opportunity to familiarize themselves with the running of our systems before the on-set of next year’s busy summer poult rearing season.  
The role requires a dedicated individual to manage the farm which comprises permanent, ‘controlled environment’ sheds and large numbers of outside pens of the A-frame type used to harden off and acclimatize the birds. All the rearing equipment is modern and well maintained.  
This opening presents an ideal opportunity for someone who feels they are able to run their own farm. Reporting to the owner on a weekly or daily basis as required, the successful person will be left to the day to day management of the unit, working alongside and learning from an experienced team of staff employed there.  
Working for a successful family-run business the site manager would be given every opportunity to grow and expand the unit enhancing and continuing the achievements of previous managers. Following the first season increased numbers reared and any extra responsibilities taken on would be suitably rewarded.   

Responsibilities will include:  
Ensuring all aspects of running the farm are met
Maintaining safe working practices
Ensuring welfare of livestock
Ventilation management
Feed management and programs
Vaccinations and preventative medication
Monitoring mortality and liaising with vets
Record keeping  

Applicants will need:   a wholly positive attitude to work and life; effective people /communication skills; to be able and willing to perform manual tasks and work with team; previous experience in livestock management; a full UK driving licence; Driving experience of tractors, telehandler, bobcats and any ground working machinery would be beneficial

Tickets for any of the above would be useful but not essential as full training will be given.
