Breeder Flock Manager/Manageress
We are a busy and progressive business breeding and rearing game birds currently requiring a practical and enthusiastic person to fill this position.  Dedicated stock person required to take on the daily summer and over wintering management of our large pheasant and partridge breeder flocks. Working to the highest standards of welfare and stockmanship you will receive full training and support. Working partially alone but still able to manage large teams for penning and egg collection. Some previous livestock and management experience essential.

Chick Rearing Manager
This role will be responsible for the daily welfare of day old chicks through to 3 week poults.  Extensive numbers of day old chicks are placed weekly for rearing to poults onsite.  As the Chick Rearing Manager you will be directly responsible for their welfare from point of hatch.    Responsibilities to include: during the initial 3 days from hatching 24 hour monitoring is required, looking for modifications in temperature, ventilation, lighting programmes, equipment failure (Gas/Water) and general feeding.  It is imperative that the slightest alteration in health is responded to immediately, administering antibiotics as required under veterinary supervision.  24 hour response to shed alarms alerting to alteration of internal shed atmosphere, immediate response required.  Management of a team, setting up sheds for chicks, monitoring bio security and preparing 3 week old poults for ‘bitting’ and moving out to rearing fields.

Carpenter/Fabricator/Handyman
Following further expansion we are currently seeking a Carpenter/Fabricator/Handyman to join our team. Working within our onsite workshop you will be responsible for the production of all timber products required for rearing game birds alongside all other carpentry and timber/steel handling projects around the farm.  The role will be varied with projects being dependent upon the current and approaching season.  This position will also be responsible for on going farm and hatchery maintenance and the project management of new building projects. Initially working in a team environment, with a long term objective of becoming responsible for the ordering, project time management and general running of the workshop.    We are looking for a reliable and conscientious person prepared to work on their own initiative with enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a sense of humour. The successful candidate must be able to take responsibility and work independently as well as part of a team.   Salary to be discussed and will be dependent upon experience.

Game Livestock Rearer
We are a busy and progressive business breeding and rearing game birds currently requiring a practical and enthusiastic person to fill this position.  Working within different teams you will be responsible for the rearing of pheasants and partridges from day old through to poults.  Daily management to include feeding and watering and help with weekly duties of moving birds, bitting and catching.  You will have some stock rearing experience, be prepared to take responsibility and able to work alone or as part of a team.  An interesting and varied role.

Part time / Weekend Staff
As the new season approaches we are currently seeking part time/weekend staff.  We have two locations, Claverdon and Bishop's Tachbrook and the role may be at one or the other or both if that suits.  Duties will be many and varied depending on the hours and days available to work.  As a busy game farm all roles will be working either with birds or to do with birds.  As an example:- egg collecting, egg washing, catching birds for delivery or additionally feeding, power washing etc.

Van/HGV Driver – Part-Time
We will be looking for part time Van and HGV drivers for our summer season.  If is not compulsory to have a HGV license, more beneficiary.  This role is not available immediately however should start during March/April.  You would be required to deliver eggs, chicks and poults to estates around the country. Our customers range from Scotland to Cornwall and Suffolk to Wales therefore you would need to be happy with some  long distance driving. Generally one or two days per week during our busy summer season.  Salary dependent upon experience.
